TOEFL (Test of English For International Communication)

TOEFL evaluates students the capability of understanding and utilizing English in an academic setting or profile. TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language. It was introduced in late 2005. TOEFL which is a non-profitable organization and is a trademark of Educational Testing Services (ETS). TOEFL (IBT) which is the internet-based test, (CBT) which is a computer-based test and proper based test (PBT).<br /> Another TOEFL is the paper-based or TOEFL ITP. It is part of the ETS institutional testing program. It is used within institutions for the purpose of placement or to evaluate the progress of students. It is not accepted for entrance to universities.

Modules

The objective of the TOEFL exam is to test the candidates English proficiency level, which itself gives an indication that the exam is not easy for someone from Non-English Speaking country. All the sections in the exams are divided into individual scores.

    1. Writing – Two questions in 50 minutes.
    2. Reading – Around 40 questions in 60 minutes.
    3. Speaking – Six questions in 20 minutes.
    4. Listening – Around 40 questions in 75 minutes.

Score and Exam

The TOEFL IBT (registered company) is about four and a half hours long and is chosen completely online. The scores are out of 120 and are is legitimate for two years. The test is supplied about 30-40 times in a year and has about 4500 test centers in 165 minutes.
